Description
L1022 - 0-6-0 saddletank, '15', of Manning Wardle & Co. origin. The locomotive (No. 1145 of 1890) is seen with its crew when working on the section from Northolt to Neasden on the Great Western & Great Central Joint line. It is seen running bunker first in a cutting near Wembley, with Oakington Farm in the background. The locomotive was working for T. Oliver & Son who built this section of line between 1901 and 1905, and has the characteristic dumb buffers and open footplate. The photograph was taken on 21st May 1902.
