Fireman posing for photo in sleigh outside Lancaster Road Fire Station

Since Dec 1949 the Leicester fire service have collected money and gifts each Christmas to send to the hospitals. Fireman toured the streets of Leicester in an evening collecting, which was then used to buy more presents. Rudolph lived at Lancaster Road Fire station and was on display at the middle doors.
