Title
L1122 - Steel girder bridge and brick viaduct over the LNWR at Rugby in Warwickshire.
Description
L1122 - A steel girder bridge and brick built viaduct, crossing the London & North Western Railway and the River Avon flood plain in Rugby, Warwickshire. The viaduct was built as part of Contract No. 4 awarded to T. Oliver & Sons. Just north of the viaduct is the large steel girder bridge carrying the GCR over the Oxford Canal. The photograph, taken circa 1923, shows the bridge in operation and a group of early train-spotters looking over a boundary wall.
