Title
L3096 - Navvy camp near Flecknoe
Description
L3096 - Thought to have been taken from a spoil tip near Flecknoe, Warwickshire, these are some of the huts that were erected by Thomas Oliver & Son to house the navvies at work on Contract No.4 of the Last Main Line (Rugby to Woodford). Located right along the route and homes to thousands of navvies and their families, these unique temporary communities are a forgotten part of the railway's construction.
