Title
L3293 - Brick arch overbridge on the Great Central near Ashendon
Description
L3293 - This brick arch bridge was located on the Great Central Railway's line, just to the north of Ashendon Junction where the Great Central line from Grendon Underwood connected with the Great Western & Great Central joint line. In the photograph, the bridge appears to be complete, yet the road which it has been built to carry has not yet been created. The trackbed still carries a contractors' line only, this one belonging to Louis P. Nott who built this section of the railway between Grendon Underwood and Princes Risborough.
