Description
L2439 - Photographed around 1898, the ironwork frame of Leicester's Great Central Station approaches completion. The station was built by Henry Lovatt & Co. as part of Contract No.2 (Leake to Aylestone), and was one of the final parts of the Line to be finished. Note that the hydraulic buffer stops at the end of the central bay have already been installed.
