A "Kestos" style bra from Symington's Avro range. The Kestos bra was very popular during the 1930s as it was brief, light and comfortable. The simple cups are constructed with a single dart and the fit was adjusted across the back. The crossover elastic straps are fastened with buttons at the front of the bra.

This particular example is made from tea rose pink Celanese satin and has been embroidered with three flower motifs. This style was also available in white.
