Title
Cream corset with frilled suspenders, 1905
Description
Cream corset with frilled suspenders of 1905. Features triple whaleboning, flat side steels, and adjustable suspenders.

This figured, white batiste, straight front corset was made in France in 1905. It is flared across the bust and over the hips. The corset is supported by triple whaleboning and flat side steels. The single busk has a "dagger hook" attached to one side. This was used for securing the corset to the waistband of the skirt.

The top of the corset is trimmed with fine lace, which features silk ribbons and braid. Attached to the bottom of the corset are four adjustable, frilled suspenders, each with a metal loop and button. Printed inside the corset are several markings, including the name of a South American stockist.
