L2323 - A row of six iron bridge stanchions await further construction of the Upperton Road viaduct, a structure built as part of Contract No.2 (Leake to Aylestone) which crossed the London Extension and its sidings at Leicester Goods Yard. When the railway was completed, the main line permanent way passed beneath the double girder span on the right of the picture.
