L2320 - This house on Talbot Lane was one of countless properties to be demolished as the Last Main Line ruthlessly forged its way across Leicester. Eventually, this site would mark the southern end of the city's Great Central Station. Henry Lovatt & Co. of Wolverhampton was the firm contracted to build this section of the Railway (Contract No.2, Leake to Aylestone).
