Title
L2324 - Girder bridge spanning Devonshire Road, Leicester
Description
L2324 - Built by Henry Lovatt & Co. as part of Contract No.2 (Leake to Aylestone), this skew girder underbridge (bridge No. 369) is thought to be the structure which carried the Last Main Line across Devonshire Road, just south of the Great Central's Abbey Lane sidings, Leicester. Note the lattice work iron parapet: a typical feature of the London Extension.
