Title
L2227 - Construction of a girder bridge in St. Johns Wood
Description
L2227 - These are the girders and steel plates of a bridge being constructed in St. Johns Wood, London. Here the cutting has yet to be fully excavated, and the rocky outcrop on the right of the photograph would later be removed. J.T. Firbank of London Bridge was the contractor responsible for building this, the shortest section of the Last Main Line (Contract No.7, West Hampstead to Marylebone).
