Description
L1586 - Brick arch underbridge carrying the road from Finmere to Finmere Brickyard over the London Extension, Buckinghamshire, circa 1897. The tracks in the foreground are contractor's temporary rails. On the right is a bed of large ballast, laid in preparation for the permanent way. Walter Scott & Co. of Newcastle upon Tyne was the contractor responsible for building this section of the Railway (Contract No.6, Brackley to Quainton Road).
