Title
L1202 - Girder Bridge construction.
Description
L1202 - Construction of the girder bridge at Rossmore Road on the Canfield Place to Marylebone contract (No. 7), built by J. T. Firbank of London Bridge between 1894 and 1898. The bridge is supported on deep driven piles, the foundations of which have yet to be filled in. Wooden packing still supports the spans, and there are piles of bricks strewn across the ground on the right - either for hard core of left over from a demolition. Count the rivets in the spans.
