The Singer Clock was a famous landmark in Clydebank in West Dunbartonshire, Scotland. Built in 1884 above the Singer sewing machine factory, the clock was at the time the largest four-sided clock in the world, standing at 200ft tall with a face diameter of 26ft. Above the clock was the illuminated sign 'SINGER'. In the 1960s the factory closed down and on 15th of March, 1963 the clock was stopped. The hands were melted down and turned into souvenir ashtrays.
