Title
L1018 - Contractors' 0-6-0 saddletank locomotive, BROCKENHURST.
Description
L1018 - An 0-6-0 saddletank, BROCKENHURST, of R. W. Hawthorn origin, stands in the vicinity of West Hampstead, London when working on Contract No. 7 (Canfield Place - Marylebone) built by J. T. Firbank of London Bridge sometime between 1894 and 1898. A lone crew member stands on the shadows of the locomotive's cab. Unusual among the other six-coupled locomotives used by contractors, BROCKENHURST has outside cylinders.
