Back view of a corset produced in 1885, made from a fawn coloured twill, which has been interlined with hessian. It is supported by heavy string cording and has a spoon busk at the front.
The corset is decorated with hand-stitching on the main body of the garment and a deep lace and ribbon trimming around the top edge.
