Title
L3035 - Brick arch bridge and contractor's locomotive
Description
L3035 - A completed brick arch occupation underbridge with handsome curved wing walls, built to carry the Last Main Line across a farm track in Nottinghamshire. Where the photograph was taken is in fact unknown, but, interestingly, the style of the number on the tank of the Manning Wardle 0-6-0 contractor's loco that is at work on the embankment suggests that the engine was owned by Logan & Hemingway, the firm responsible for building Contract No.1 of the London Extension (Annesley to Leake).
