L1362 - Girder underbridge being constructed at Blackbird Road, 'Parish of Leicester Abbey', circa 1897 (S.W.A. Newton's notes). Note the large girder under the bridge that has still to be raised into position. Henry Lovatt of Wolverhampton was the contractor who built this section of the Railway (Contract No.2 Leake to Aylestone).
