L3058 - Photographed around 1897, this is bridge no. 385, a plate girder structure that was built just west of Aylestone to bring the Last Main Line across Braunstone Lane East/ Middleton Street. The bridge now carries the Great Central Way footpath and cycle route, a fact that has thus far spared it from the successive waves of demolition that have followed the railway's closure almost thirty five years ago.
