L1370 - Girder underbridge over Braunstone Gate nearing completion, circa 1897. This section of the Railway was built by Henry Lovatt of Wolverhampton. Aside from its engineering significance, the photograph provides a wonderful illustration of Victorian dress and a snapshot of people's daily lives at the end of the nineteenth century.
