Title
L3043 - Whetstone viaduct, Leicestershire
Description
L3043 - Photographed around 1897, these are thought to be the final three arches of bridge 395, the 456 ft viaduct that brought the Last Main Line across the River Sence north of Whetstone. In common with most similar structures on the Line, and somewhat in contrast to the impression given by this picture, Whetstone's handsome viaduct was built of engineer's blue bricks.
