Title
L1387 - Calvert station, Buckinghamshire
Description
L1387 - Calvert station, Buckinghamshire, circa 1900. The station buildings and island platform are typical of Great Central design of this period. This section of the London Extension (Contract No.6, Brackley to Quainton Road) was built by Walter Scott & Co. of Newcastle upon Tyne. The assembled group posing for Mr. Newton's camera provide a varied example of late Victorian dress.
