Description
L3092 - Photographed on a wet winter's day around 1897, this brick outbuilding served as a contractor's office during the construction of the Great Central's Catesby tunnel. Built by Thomas Oliver & Son as part of Contract No.4 (Rugby to Woodford), the tunnel, at 3000 yards, was by some distance the longest on the Last Main Line.
