Title
L1268 - Rock cutting and bridge abutments
Description
L1268 - Rock cutting and bridge abutments in Nottinghamshire (possibly Bulwell), circa 1897. The girders secured with chains onto the wagon are presumably intended for this bridge. This section of the Line (Contract No. 1, Annesley to Leake) was built by Logan & Hemingway. Note the tracks in the foreground: for contractor's temporary rails they are particularly well laid and maintained.
