Title
L1270 - Temporary bridge at Charwelton, Northamptonshire
Description
L1270 - Temporary wooden bridge over the Hellidon-Fawsley Road, Charwelton, Northamptonshire, circa 1896. This precarious structure is a brilliant illustration of the speed at which the contractors worked. The two navvies walking across the bridge are pushing a small tipping tub. T. Oliver & Son was the contractor responsible for building this section of the Railway (Contract No. 4, Rugby to Woodford).
