Title
L2982 - Victorian lady and child
Description
L2982 - This elderly lady and child were photographed in the mid-nineteenth century. During his travels S. W. A. Newton stopped at Hellidon, a small Northamptonshire village that lay about a mile to the west of the Last Main Line, where he was asked by a Mrs. Waring to copy the picture. The image is framed by the pins and cloth backing that Newton employed to hold the photograph.
