Title
L2980 - Mid-Victorian lady
Description
L2980 - This studio photograph of a Victorian lady was first taken in the mid-nineteenth century. At Hellidon, Northamptonshire, during one of his many journeys along the route of the Last Main Line, S. W. A. Newton was asked to copy the picture for a Mrs. Waring. Having presumably charged a small fee, it was work such as this that helped Newton to offset the costs of his repeated expeditions.
