Title
L1170 - Loudwater Viaduct under construction
Description
L1170 - Loudwater Viaduct in Buckinghamshire on the Great Western & Great Central Joint Railway, under construction circa 1903. It was built as part of the Northolt Junction to High Wycombe contract, constructed by Pauling & Co. of Westminster between 1901 and 1905. Scaffolding surrounds the semi-completed structure, and the embankments have yet to be completed. The viaduct itself has still to be 'filled in', and the parapet walls still await construction. Compare this view with Newton - B 2/5.
