Title
L2885 - View of Aylestone village from the London Extension
Description
L2885 - Photographed looking east from the Great Central embankment, this is a fine view of Aylestone village, circa 1897. Beyond the farm buildings and numerous houses is the tower of St. Andrew's Church. In the bottom left of the picture are the short wing walls of the girder bridge (no. 388) that was built to carry the railway across a lane leading to the canal.
