Title
L2882 - Bridge 388, Aylestone
Description
L2882 - Looking east at the girder underbridge (bridge no. 388) that carried the London Extension across a lane between Aylestone and the Leicestershire & Northamptonshire Union Canal. The bridge is almost complete, but the bare and uneven slopes of the embankment indicate that there is still a long way to go before the line is ready for traffic. Note the structure's lattice work iron parapet: a familiar feature of the Last Main Line.
