Title
L2915 - Woodford and Hinton Marshalling Yards, Northamptonshire
Description
L2915 - A wonderful photograph, taken around 1900 looking south towards a number of wagons in the extensive Great Central marshalling yards near Woodford Halse. Just in front of the signal box on the right is the brick wing wall of the bridge that carried the line across Byfield Road. On the left is the row of terraced housing on Sidney Road. The building at the bottom left corner of the picture is the railwaymen's toilets. Woodford and Hinton Station (renamed Woodford Halse in 1948) and its approach road are in the far distance.
