Title
L2763 - Contractor's railway and lime kilns near East Leake
Description
L2763 - A Midland Railway mineral wagon waits on a section of relatively well-laid temporary track south of East Leake tunnel in Nottinghamshire. Just a few yards beyond, the rails come to an abrupt halt by two disused lime kilns. Henry Lovatt & Co. of Wolverhampton was the firm employed to build this section of the London Extension (Contract No.2, Leake to Aylestone).
