Title
L2768 - Girder overbridge and contractor's line near Hucknall
Description
L2768 - A view along a line of temporary railway towards the brick and girder overbridge that carried Washdyke Lane across the London Extension near Hucknall, Nottinghamshire. On the left is the raised hardcore base that formed the first layer of the permanent way trackbed. Notice the difference between the high quality sleepers lying on this, compared with the irregular wooden lengths used on the contractor's line.
