L2782 - According to S. W. A. Newton's original notes, this handsome structure is the 'occupation bridge between Newstead and Abbey Drive and the second occupation girder bridge towards Linby'. It was built by Logan & Hemingway, the firm employed to build Contract No.1 (Annesley to Leake) of the London Extension.
