L1058 - Manning Wardle & Co. 'M' class 0-6-0 contractor's saddletank locomotive, BRADFORD, No. 899 of 1884 - photographed with her two crew, circa 1897. According to the notes of S. W. A. Newton, the picture was taken at the site of Helmdon Station in Northamptonshire. Walter Scott & Co. of Newcastle-upon-Tyne was the contractor responsible for building this section of the line (Contract No. 5, Woodford to Brackley).
