L2788 - Starting point of the London Extension
Description
L2788 - Photographed looking south around 1897, this is the point at which the Great Central's London Extension began. On the right is the permanent way of the Leen Valley Line, and on the left is the start of the new formation that would eventually leave these existing tracks to head south for the capital.
