L2789 - Bulwell viaduct, Nottinghamshire
Description
L2789 - Looking south across the fields towards the 390 yard (357 metres) twenty-five arch viaduct at Bulwell, the longest on the London Extension and a magnificent engineering achievement. Built as part of Contract No.1 (Annesley to Leake), Logan & Hemingway was the firm responsible for its construction. Note that although the arches appear complete, the parapet has yet to be built.
