Description
L1064 - 0-4-0 contractor's saddletank locomotive, CHEARSLEY, at rest with her three crew at Haddenham, Buckinghamshire, circa 1904. They are pictured at work on the Great Western and Great Central Railways' joint line between Princes Risborough and Grendon Underwood, constructed by Louis P. Nott. The locomotive (No. 637) was built by Hudswell Clarke & Co. in 1903. Note the young railwayman oiling the connecting rod.
