Description
L1067 - Hunslet Engine Co. built 0-6-0 saddletank, WILLIE, No. 65 of 1871. The locomotive is pictured near Braunston Siding at Willoughby in Warwickshire when employed on Contract No. 4 (Rugby to Woodford) built by T. Oliver & Son between 1894 and 1899. Standing on the locomotive's footplate are the driver and a gentleman in a trilby hat, while two other enginemen stand on the front bufferbeam. By 1919, WILLIE had found a home at the Austin Motor Company.
