Title
L2799 - Girder overbridge near Princes Risborough
Description
L2799 - Photographed around 1903, this is thought to be the plate girder overbridge that crossed the Great Western & Great Central Joint line just south of Princes Risborough Station, Buckinghamshire. Visible on the right prior to its replacement is a section of the existing Great Western line, recognisable by the fact that this was originally broad gauge track that has since been converted to standard gauge width. Note the legs of the navvy that are just visible on the scaffolding that is slung beneath the bridge.
