Title
L1076 - Contractors' 0-6-0 saddletank locomotive, FLORENCE.
Description
L1076 - 0-6-0 Contractor's saddletank locomotive, FLORENCE, with her two crew at work on Contract No. 4 (Rugby to Woodford built by T. Oliver & Son) at Catesby, Northamptonshire, circa 1897. The locomotive was built by Black Hawthorn (No. 466) in 1878. Note the outside cylinders - unusual on the London Extension contractors' locomotives, and the dumb buffers fitted for shunting.
