Title
L2820 - Temporary bridge on the site of Victoria Station
Description
L2820 - Photographed around 1897, this is the large temporary bridge that spanned the site of Nottingham's Victoria Station. Interestingly, despite not being a permanent structure, there are street lamps visible above the wooden boards of the parapet. The picture is also a fine opportunity to compare the vast difference in quality between the permanent way tracks on the right, and the contractor's temporary rails on the left.
