Photograph Of Stevens Garage, around 1900, situated in the middle of the high street. In front of the shop are a charabanc and some bicycles. When this two-story building was demolished, the timber frames were found to be pre-eighteenth century. This is also true of other sites in the High Street.

Next door to the garage is the Stamford Spalding and Boston Bank, which was later taken over by Barclays Bank and is still situated there today.
