A Liberty front lacing corset of 1949. It is made from tea rose pink broche with rayon elastic insets and a Nu-Back panel. The corset has a covered straight busk at the front with three hooks and eyes below. It is supported by supple spiral steels.
This corset was one of the most extensively marketed by the Symington company and became one of the largest selling corsets in the country. Introduced in 1949, this style was still being produced in the late 1970s.
