L2447 - A completed girder underbridge, built by Henry Lovatt & Co. as part of Contract No.2 (Leake to Aylestone) to carry the Last Main Line across a lane at Swithland, Leicestershire. Visible on the embankment above is the cab of a contractor's locomotive. Note the bridge's lattice work iron parapet: a familiar feature of the London Extension.
