Title
L2470 - Constructing the girder bridge over Meadow Place, Nottingham
Description
L2470 - An excellent picture taken at Meadow Place around 1897, captured during construction of the Great Central viaduct at Nottingham. In common with its neighbour's viaduct at Leicester, these imposing brick arches and girder sections transformed the urban landscape at a time when railway companies could cut an indelible mark across Britain's towns and cities.
