Title
L2471 - Girder occupation bridge near Bulwell, Nottinghamshire
Description
L2471 - Built by Logan & Hemingway as part of Contract No.1 (Annesley to Leake), this handsome girder occupation bridge was built to carry the London Extension over a farm track north of Bulwell Common Station, Nottinghamshire. The bridge's height and the comparatively narrow span have led the Great Central engineers to install three retaining girders to help counteract the weight of the embankment.
