Description
L2312 - Pedestrian foot crossing on the London Extension near Quainton Road, Buckinghamshire. A muddy path can be seen leading from the foot of the embankment towards the tree line. Note the recently laid permanent way, with a pile of ballast yet to be swept over the sleepers. This section of the Last Main Line (Contract No.6, Brackley to Quainton Road) was constructed by Walter Scott & Co. of Newcastle upon Tyne.
