L2313 - This photograph was taken just north of Quainton Road Junction, the point at which the Last Main Line joined the existing route of the Metropolitan Railway prior to entering London. The girder bridge on the left spans the Great Central's London Extension, and the permanent way in the foreground and brick arch bridge beyond belonged to the Metropolitan.
